Wenger's lack of spending

Opinion, analysis on tactics and off the field issues.

Your point is taken but if you don't know

Loic Perrin
Thiago Neves
Diogo
Matias Fernandez
Tresor Mputu
Andre Ayew

you should probably watch a bit more football.

And no, Arsenal is not going to sign some crazy big player who is established elsewhere and I wouldn't want us to. What we need to do is dip into the second tier and get people like Modric, Rakitic and stop dropping straight into the 16 year old no one category

Hopefully Wenger can mix it up and buy established players instead of just cheap unknowns.

I'm all for buying for the future but what about the present? We're 3 seasons without a trophy, and looking unlikely to break that this season. I think AW saying he wont spend in the close season is a smokescreen, I reckon we'll see some investment this summer.

ok, fair enough buying cheap players and hope they can make the cut, as said previously, wenger has had just as much flops then great buys.

The last time i can say honestly i had a buzz about a player joinging Arsenal was Sol Campbell.... i couldn't wait for him to play in an arsenal shirt,

now days its unknowns or relativly unknowns coming to the club, we need that buzz back, and get teams to think that arsenal can attract the big name players.

was that b4 or after his 1st game, because after his 1st game i was hyped, prior to that i had only seen glimps of him and didnt know what he was capable of.....

I think wenger should go in to the market, but buy players from the english premier league for once

Your Gaffer guessed it right in his post on the 1st page of this thread.
The reason u dont splash the cash is cos it dont fucking exist, its a myth boys & girls.
The £70mill aint there, its a rouse built up by ur club to keep u lot hanging on by a thread.
U all dream of that big signing, that Rooney, Torres, Drogba, or Tevez thats gonna win u a PL title or the CL but it aint gonna happen.
Your wonderful board rely on the skill of the manager to find rough diamonds & hone them into sparklers to keep u lot sweet.
U have a big, morgue like stadium to pay for.
Thats gonna take a few more years yet so dont hold your breath.
Oh dear, how the truth hurts!!!

No, the board can't lie about the financial reports and other sources have confirmed how much money we have.

We make 3m ever game, don't worry. Stadium payments are going just fine.

Didn't say how much money is available, did he?

Oh really... how much would he want ? His style is not to spend loads. When he sold Henry, he could have bought someone close to 20mil but he didn't.

ive heard on numerous accounts that there is money available to spend, every summer we have money to spend, its wenger who refuses to buy the big player. WHY? only he can answer that question, he just prefers to buy youngsters with little experience and hope they can play it BIG in the mighty Arsenal team where expectations are high
